Travel Tips & Hacks

1.How to pack Clothes for travelling
Why does packing always seem like more of a chore than it needs to be? It can be a tedious task on its own, sure, but a lot of packing stress likely stems from the anxiety of not really knowing what you're going to need when you get to wherever you're going. (What if it rains the whole time? What if your   luggage gets lost? What if you don't end up doing half of what your itinerary originally said you'd be doing?) We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to somehow, miraculously, pack only exactly what we might need—no more, no less—and keep things wrinkle-free in the process. Please watch above video for some helpful packing techniques to ease the burden of filling your suitcase efficiently and keeping your clothing in tip-top shape while en route.
2.Charge your electronics through a TV
It is not convenient to travel with all the chargers to the devices you are carrying. In that case, this trick is especially suitable. The hotels people usually stay in have the latest models of televisions and all the latest models are supplied with USB ports behind them. Next time you are travelling, don’t forget this useful tip that you can use on your device once it has been drained.
3.Stuff your shoes and wrap them
  1. Clean your shoes and stuff them with rolled-up clothing items or socks, as with suitcase packing.
  2. Wrap each shoe in a plastic bag, wrapping firmly, but not too tight.
  3. Once your shoes are stuffed and wrapped, slot them together so that both heels and both soles are facing the opposite direction.
  4. Contrary to how most people pack, it’s better to pack heavy items in the middle of a backpack, not the bottom, as it puts less stress on your back. Create a base layer of clothes at the bottom of your backpack, that you won’t need instant access to.
  5. Then, pack your wrapped shoes in the center of the backpack.
  6. Lastly, pack some lighter items you need access to for your top layer such as hoodies or sweaters.

It’s good to bear in mind that you should only pack shoes in your backpack if it makes sense to do that.

By packing them in your backpack, even the smallest of shoes will still take up a sizeable amount of room.

4.Mark your Baggage as Fragile

Request for a “Fragile” sticker: This hack is super awesome and will definitely make you a better traveller! Request the airline staff to put a fragile sticker on your luggage (even if there are no fragile objects in your check-in luggage). Bags with this sticker are usually placed above all the other luggage and arrive first at the baggage claim conveyor belt.
5.Download Google Maps for offline use
If you don’t trust your data connection or are someone who always likes having backups to feel safe, you can always try downloading Google Maps so that you can use it even when you are offline. All you need is enough storage on your phone.
6.Email yourself a scan of your passport

While a hard copy is certainly important to carry around, sometimes forgetfulness can be a disease that plagues you forever. Emailing yourself a scan of your passport is the safest way to ensure that a copy of your passport is just one click away. Simple steps like these can save loads of trouble in the future.
7.Benefits of compression socks for travel

Spending long slights cramped up can ruin your whole trip, when you land and find your ankles swollen and hurting when you walk to get your luggage. While the risk of developing blood clots on a flight is low, it goes up as travel time increases. To fight such circumstances, compression socks come to your rescue. These stockings help increase circulation and reduce the risk of swelling or worse deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and clotting on a long flight.
8.Turn on “Private Browsing” for cheaper flights

Flight prices change frequently and some travel sites are able to track what you are looking at online, and will raise the prices accordingly. That means if you visit the site more than once, you might find a higher price. Turning on the “Private Browsing Mode’ to look for cheaper flights is your way out of this ordeal.
9.Fight jet lag with exercise

10.Keep a pen in every bag/pocket
Pens usually come in handy in the millennial world and asking a stranger for one every time you need to sign a paper or just note down a detail- can be quite an annoying task. So, always keep a pen in every bag or pocket while you travel, so that it saves up your personal time and things can be handled conveniently.

11.Use toiletry bags and small containers for liquids

The best laid travel plans involve plenty of planning and organization. These travel hacks and packing tips can help your next trip go smoothly, so you can spend more time enjoying your destination.
